Aircraft Sales · New & Used
We sell new and used Diamond aircraft — and most other piston singles and twins — but we do something most brokers don't: we operate the airplanes daily, maintain them in-house, and train pilots in them. When you buy from us, you're buying from people who actually fly the airplane you're buying.
Why buy from TFA
When you’re considering an aircraft purchase, the conversations that matter most aren’t about specs or list prices — they’re about what the airplane is actually like to own and fly, day after day, year after year. Most brokers can’t have that conversation honestly. They’ve never put 800 hours on a DA42 NG. They’ve never had to defend a maintenance interval to a frustrated owner. They’ve never planned a fleet around an aircraft’s actual operational profile.
We operate 12 Diamond aircraft in our training fleet — DA20s, DA40 NGs, DA42 NGs, and more. We’ve put tens of thousands of cumulative hours on the airplanes we sell. We maintain them in our own factory-authorized shop with our own A&P team. When we tell you the DA40 NG is the right airplane for your mission, or that the DA62 isn’t, the recommendation comes from operational experience — not a sales script.

From "I'm thinking about it" through delivery and into ownership — we cover the full path, not just the transaction.
1 · Discovery
An honest conversation about what airplane fits your mission, budget, and pilot profile. Diamond-led but brand-neutral. We'll tell you when a Cirrus is the better answer.
2 · Search
We find the airplane, vet the seller, structure the deal, and represent you through inspection and closing. You're our client, not the seller.
3 · Verify
Independent, thorough inspection by our A&P team with comprehensive findings reports. We tell you what we found — not what you want to hear.
4 · Ferry
Aircraft ferried from the seller's location to KMGJ or your home airport. Insurance-rated ferry pilots, proper documentation, weather-aware scheduling.

Selling your aircraft
If you’re considering selling — whether you’re moving up to a newer Diamond, downsizing, or exiting ownership — we run a structured brokerage process. Marketing across the channels that move Diamond and high-end piston aircraft, vetted buyer leads, and an honest sales price recommendation based on current market data.
For aircraft we already know intimately — Diamonds we’ve maintained, or aircraft we’ve worked on as a sales consultant — we can move quickly. For aircraft we’re new to, we’ll evaluate first, then bring the airplane to market.
Leaseback opportunities
For aircraft owners whose flying needs leave their airplane idle most of the week, a leaseback arrangement with TFA can put it to work in our training fleet — generating revenue that helps offset insurance, hangar, and maintenance costs.
We’re selective about leaseback partners. The aircraft has to match our fleet operational profile, the owner has to be comfortable with the schedule and wear-and-tear realities of training operations, and the economics have to work for everyone. We do a small number of leasebacks at any given time — quality over volume — so the conversation starts with whether it’s the right fit.
Beyond Diamond
Diamond is our deepest capability, but our consulting and brokerage services extend across the broader general aviation market. If you're considering a Cirrus, Cessna, or Piper — or buying or selling outside Diamond — talk to us. Brand-neutral advice, A&P-level prebuy work, and a transaction process built for serious buyers.
Common questions
Are you a Diamond Aircraft factory-authorized dealer?
Yes. As one of the largest Diamond operators in the U.S. Northeast, we work directly with Diamond Aircraft Industries for new aircraft sales, and we sell pre-owned Diamonds and other brands as well.
Can I see an aircraft before committing to a purchase?
Absolutely. We encourage in-person visits, demo flights when an aircraft is available for them, and detailed walk-throughs. Our hangar is at KMGJ Montgomery, NY — about 65 miles north of NYC.
Do you handle pre-purchase inspections on aircraft I'm buying elsewhere?
Yes. Our A&P team performs independent prebuy inspections on aircraft you’re considering, including aircraft located at other airports. We can travel for prebuy work, or coordinate with the seller’s location when that makes more sense.
Do you offer financing assistance?
We don’t lend directly, but we work with aircraft finance partners we can introduce you to, including AOPA Finance and a few specialty aviation lenders. We’ll help connect you with the right resource.
Can I trade in my current aircraft?
Often, yes. Whether we’ll take your aircraft as a direct trade or list it on consignment depends on the specific airplane and current market conditions. Let’s talk through it.
How long does a typical aircraft purchase take?
A pre-owned Diamond from our inventory can move from “interested” to “in your hangar” in 30–60 days, including prebuy and delivery. New aircraft ordered from Diamond are subject to manufacturer lead times — typically 6–18 months for a new build. We’ll give you realistic timelines based on your specific situation.
What about post-sale support?
Most of our buyers stay engaged with TFA after the sale — maintenance, transition training, recurrent training, and the occasional emergency repair. Our shop is here and we’re easy to reach. The relationship doesn’t end at delivery.
